Swipe right, you’re into it. Swipe left, you’re just not feeling it.

Daily by Buffer, a new app from one of our favorite social media tools, has become the Tinder of content.

Buffer’s new mobile app takes advantage of the thumb swipe design made famous by Tinder, an online dating app for connecting with potential partners within a 1-to-95-mile radius.

How does Tinder work? Someone’s picture, name, and age pops up on your phone.

If you swipe right and they swipe right, you can start chatting. Swipe left, they won’t show up in your feed again.

Tinder has been praised for hitting on this oh-so-sleek and brilliant mobile design—and for good reason. It’s fun. You feel like you’re doing something semi-productive. And it’s simple. One person (or, in this case, one piece of content) at a time. And as people these days find it increasingly “unpleasant to be alone in a room with their thoughts for just 6 to 15 minutes,” it’s a mindless and weirdly satisfying action that helps you pass the minutes.

Buffer—well-known for their data-backed research into content and product creation—is helping folks use that terrifying down-time to connect with super hot content, or ditch the stuff that just doesn’t catch your eye.

At this point, the parallels between online dating and marketing are almost too many to count.

What’s next? A software solution for managing all of your dating accounts? Don’t rule it out.
