SiriusDecisions Summit kicks off tomorrow, in good ol’ Nashville, TN. We’re more amped than ever for it here at Kapost. We have a sharp booth (#507), fun staff attending, a rockin’ case study in concert with Jason Miller of LinkedIn, and some notable announcements planned for each day of the event.
As with any tradeshow, there’s a quite a bit going on. It’s often hard to orchestrate your time and focus as an attendee. So here I am with last minute survival tips. And I’ll try to scale back the music puns. No promises though. Holding back is not really my…forte.
Follow the #SDSummit hashtag.
One of the greatest parts of tradeshows is connecting with peers. While SiriusDecisions has built plenty of time into the agenda for in-person networking, the easiest way to check out what’s going on and participate in trending discussions is to follow the event hashtag #SDSummit on social media. If you’re not a huge social media user yourself, check in on the official SiriusDecisions Social Media Hub. They’ve done the work of gathering all the social goings-on together in perfect harmony.
Download the mobile app.
Really. It makes all this stuff easier. You’re already using your phone to check email, follow those brilliant #SDSummit tweets, and play your new nerd game, so why not have your phone hold all the logistics you need to know, like, say what sessions you’ll be attending, or who you’d like to visit in the The SiriusDecisions Summit Marketplace? Download for Apple or Android. You’ll need your confirmation code (emailed to you when you registered) to log in and access all the good stuff.
Know where you’re going.
Nearly all of the major events at SiriusDecisions Summit are happening at the beautiful, sprawling Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. It’s a big venue, so you might want to take a look at this map (PDF) to learn your way around.
Explore the Music City.
The resort is beautiful and there’s a lot to do on the property, and you’ll also get to experience Nashville’s world famous Broadway Avenue during the Titanium Block Party, which will take place at Tequila Cowboy. But if you get the chance, certainly explore more of the city of Nashville. Great food and great entertainment await. Not sure where to go? We created this map to give you a head start.
